соглашение о фармауте (соглашение между двумя сторонами, в силу которого одна сторона - «фармор» - уступает другой стороне - «фарми» - свои права на разработку недр, которые ей принадлежат в соответственности с полученной ею лицензией. Эти права уступаются в виде компенсации за бурение скважины, которую «фарми» обязуется пробурить на лицензионной территории. Такая скважина обычно называется earning well - «зарабатывающая скважина». В обычном соглашении о фармауте фармор не принимает участия в расходах на бурение. 100% этих расходов несёт фарми, а фармор сохраняет за собой право на overriding royalty. Это значит, что в случае, если скважина окажется продуктивной, он будет иметь право на роялти от добычи.
